Welcome to The Armchair Astronaut
Your gateway to unforgettable encounters with space, science, and exploration.
At The Armchair Astronaut, we connect audiences with real Astronauts through appearances, talks, and events across the UK & Europe. Whether for corporate functions, educational settings, or community gatherings, we bring the wonder of spaceflight down to Earth, delivering inspiring stories, rare insights, and powerful motivation.
What We Do:
Our Mission:
To bridge the gap between the stars and everyday life: inspiring and educating by making Astronaut experiences accessible, engaging, and transformative. We strive to kindle curiosity about space, spark innovation, and empower people (of all ages and backgrounds) to pursue big dreams, on Earth and beyond.

Step inside the world of human spaceflight with Daniel Tani, a veteran NASA Astronaut who has spent over 130 days living and working aboard three Space Shuttles and the International Space Station.
This is a rare chance to hear first-hand what it’s truly like to leave Earth and live and work in space. From spacewalks high above the planet to the reality of daily life in orbit, Dan will share the moments you don’t see in the documentaries, taking you behind the training, behind the missions, and the real human impact of seeing the Earth from space.
You’ll also have the opportunity to ask your own questions and engage directly, making this a genuinely interactive and memorable experience.
Our Space Social events bring together people who share a fascination with space; from curious beginners to industry professionals. Whether you come on your own or with friends or family, you’ll be part of a welcoming and passionate community.
We offer a range of ticket options depending on the level of access and interaction you would like.
If you’ve ever looked up at the night sky and wondered what it’s like to be out there, this is your chance to find out.

Meeting an Astronaut and hearing about their journeys, challenges, and accomplishments can be incredibly inspiring. It often leaves attendees with a renewed sense of curiosity and drive to pursue their own dreams, whether they be on Earth, or in Space.
Astronauts offer unique perspectives on topics such as space exploration, teamwork, problem-solving, and overcoming adversity. They share insights into the rigorous training process, life aboard spacecraft, and the emotional impact of viewing Earth from space.
These events often include discussions on cutting-edge space technology, exploration missions, and scientific discoveries, providing a deeper understanding of the key STEM subjects, our Planet Earth and the universe.
Many astronaut events feature Q&A sessions, meet-and-greets, or photo opportunities, allowing you to interact with astronauts directly.
Such events attract space enthusiasts, scientists, students, and industry professionals, creating an excellent opportunity for networking and connecting with like-minded individuals.
Witnessing an astronaut share their experiences can be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, creating lasting memories for you and your staff/students.
